The Partnership works within internationally-agreed frameworks, including the International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD) Programme of Action, the Fourth World Conference on Women (FWCW) Platform for Action, the Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC), the United Nations Special Session on Children, and the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). The Partnership approved its Conceptual and Institutional Framework and Guiding Principles in December 2005.
