  Third International Round Table aiming to promote and to put forward the implementation of the MDGs through academic programs and new educational and teaching tools

Dr. Deisi Kusztra, WFO President took part in the Expert Round Table on the development of new academic programs, pedagogical tools and educational software, for promoting the advancement and achievement of the Millennium Development Goals, by invitation of Dr. Hanifa Mezoui, Chief of UN-ECOSOC NGO Section and H.E. Mr. Jaques Wagner, State Minister and Executive Secretary of the Economic and Social Development Council in Brazil. This event took place in Brasilia, Brazil, on 17th and 18th January 2006.

The UN-ECOSOC NGO Section has set as its aim to reach an effective synergy between civil society, diverse countries’ National Economic and Social Councils and as the leader of university institutions, the Political Sciences Institute “Sciences Po Paris”, and in Brasilia, the Institute of Applied Economic research (IPEA). These partnerships will provide a strategic contribution to the achievement of the MDGs. In fact, the recognition of more appropriate and effective pedagogical and educational tools will enable our study project to ensure the promotion and dissemination of the MDGs more efficiently.

The round table of Brasilia puts forward an even greater impact, as promoted a greater a “social dialogue”, and was an opportunity to reaffirm the determination to deal with the multiple challenges and threats in order to better promote the long-term realization of the MDGs.
