PARTICIPANTS OF THE WORLD FAMILY ORGANIZATION SUMMITS!

This year of 2010 we are holding the seventh edition of the World Family Summit!

Since the year of 2004, when the first World Family Summit was accomplished in Sanya – China, this annual event continues to be the biggest partnership towards making the present and the future world with more peace, security, justice, tolerance, solidarity, prosperity and integrated by mobilizing and promoting the basic cell of society – the Family – and a legacy to the future generations, through the engagement of all sectors of society in a "Learning – Dialogue – Action" process.

The World Family Organization - WFO in partnership with UN ECOSOC Office for Support and Coordination, the UN NGO Branch, the UN NGO IRENE and the UNESCO Education for All Movement have the honour to invite you for the World Family Summit +6, to be held from 3 to 5 December 2010, in the wonderfull city of Paris, in France.

As decided in the World Family Summit +5, held in 2009, in Istanbul, Turkey, this edition of the World Family Summit was supposed to be held in Toronto, Canada. During this first half of year, we have been in strong negotiation with all partners, but, unfortunately, we realized that logistical arrangements regarding flights and visas for many countries were a big challenge to be met.

On the other hand, since the theme of the World Family Summit +6 is related to Education and WFO is an active participant of UNESCO's Education for All Movement, the WFO Executive Board decided that Paris, France, would be a very welcome venue.

Another very convincing reason to exchange Toronto for Paris is that the World Family Organization, this year, is holding the Regional General Assemblies and Elections for the next four years. Members agreed that Paris is a much more easier place for members from all WFO regions to come.
