Arrival:
The
WFS+4 Secretariat will set up a Welcome Desk at the Cairo Airport.
Other
Official Dinners and Cultural Events:
will
be held in other outside locations. Please check frequently to
obtain updated information. The Participant Handbook also will
contain specific information. Transportation Hotel-Venue-Hotel
will be provided.
Coffee
breaks: complimentary
tea/coffee will be provided as in the Program.

The
participants are expected to have and shall be responsible for
their own insurance to cover for expenses related to medical treatment
while on travel or in Egypt when attending the Summit and the
related events.

Languages:
the official language in Egypt is Arabic. However English, French
and Spanish are widely spoken and understood.
Currency:
the local currency is the Egyptian Pound. Currency can be exchanged
at banks and five stars hotels. The average exchange rate is 1
USD = 5,75 Egyptian Pounds. All well-known credit cards are usually
accpeted.
Bargaining:
is part of everyday life in Egypt. All prices are negotiable and
bargaining is expected.
Tips:
Tipping in Egypt is called Baksheesh. It is more than just an
award for service rendered, it is an essential mean of supplementing
income, as wages are generally much lower than in Western countries.
Electricity:
Electricity is supplied at 220 volts AC, 50Hz. Wall sockets are
the round two-pin European type.
