Jianjun Cui
Secretary General of China NGO Network for International
Exchanges

Born on October 3, 1949, received high school education in Shanghai
in 1960’s and worked on a farm in Inner Mongolia until 1971.
Undergraduate in Peking University of Foreign Studies and postgraduate
in Victoria University of New Zealand until 1977. Served as interpreter
for many government agencies and the International Labour Organization
after returning home. Served as First Secretary in the Chinese
Embassy in London the U.K. and later as Press Counselor in the
Chinese Embassy in Washington, DC the U.S.A. in 1990’s.
Spent one year in a remote mountainous area Binxian County Northwest
China helping the local villagers to reduce poverty. Worked in
the Chinese Association for International Understanding as Council
Member from 2000 till now. In 2005, launched the China NGO Network
for International Exchanges in Beijing China and serves as its
Executive Vice President and Secretary General since then. Concurrently
holding Council Membership in the Unite Nations Association of
China, All China Environment Federation, China Society for Promotion
of the Guangcai Program and serve as a Consultant for the Chinese
People’s Association for Peace and Disarmament.
