World Family Organization is proud to partner with the United
Nations, through the Department of Economic and Social Affairs/NGO-Section/UN-NGO-Informal
Regional Network, and the Government of Sergipe State the World
Family Summit +1.
...................In
December 2004 the Government of China in partnership with the
World Family Organization and the United Nations held the World
Family Summit in China, in the framework of the Celebrations of
the Tenth Anniversary of the International Year of the Family.
After three days of discussions and deliberations, the over 300
delegations geographically represented approved unanimously the
Sanya Declaration – For a Comprehensive Family Policy.
...................Participants
also compromised themselves to work towards the implementation
of the Sanya Declaration and, within a year, gather for the follow-up
of the results and prepare a 2006-2015 Plan of Action, focusing
the Millennium Development Goals in the Family Perspective.
...................The
Government of Sergipe State, representing the smallest State of
Brazil, took the audacious initiative of calling the World Family
Summit +1 as its Host, on the theme “Investing in Development:
Working the Millennium Development Goals at the Local Level and
in the Family”.
...................This
Summit will provide an unparalleled opportunity for international,
national, regional and local authorities and communities to be
exposed and interact with some of the world’s innovators
in the Family Perspectives field.
...................The
World Family Organization is honored to invite you to participate,
contribute and experience this unique initiative, in Aracaju City,
the Capital of Sergipe State, Brazil, from December 3 to 8, 2005.
