Dr.
Deisi Kusztra, WFO President and the WFO delegation are today
in Luanda, Angola, to join the Government and the Families of
Angola in the Celebration of the International Day of Families.
During
this mission Dr. Deisi is attending meetings with H.E. Mr. João
Bernardo de Miranda, Minister of Foreign Affairs, H.E. João
Batista Kussumua, Minister of Social Reintegration, H.E. Mr. Fernando
da Piedade Dias dos Santos, Prime Minister and
H.E. Mrs. Candida Celeste, Minister of Family and Women Promotion,
and will sign a Protocol of Cooperation between WFO and Angola.
The Ministry
of Family and Women Promotion of Angola will celebrate together
with the International Family Day on May 15 the National Journey
dedicated to the family.
This year
working under the theme: The Family face to the MDGs”. In
this occasion will be accomplished the 10th Session of the National
Council for Family to be held on the North Luanda province from
13 to 15 May 2007.

Meeting with His Excellence João Batista Kussumua, Minister
of Social Reintegration.
During the
meeting, H.E. Mr. João Batista Kussumua, Minister of
Social Reintegration presented a summary of
the social situation in Angola in these five years of peace
after decades of the armed conflicts, improvements on infra-structure
and social programs executed by the government.
12th
May
Dr. Deisi
Kusztra and WFO delegation visited and lunch at Mussulo Island
with H.E. Mrs. Candida Celeste, Minister of Family and Women Promotion,
Ministry Staff and members of partners associations. During the
visit were discussed several issues concerning health, social
affairs, family and gender equality.

The
WFO delegation together with the delegation of the Ministry of
Family and Women Promotion visited local projects in Bengo Province
and Barra do Dandes.

In
the morning, Dr. Deisi Kusztra and WFO delegation visited the
Brazilian Embassy and attended a meeting with the Brazilian Ambassador,
Mr. Marcelo Vasconcelos, where were discussed and presented the
actions and programs to be implemented in Angola by the World
Family Organization in partnership with the Government of Angola.
In
the afternoon the delegation held and official visit to the Ministry
of Family and Women Promotion, attending a meeting with the Minister,
Vice Minister and the Directors of the Ministry.
15th
May
Today Cabinda is the
World Capital of Family!
WFO
delegation visited Cabinda Province, Angola for the celebration
of the International Day of Families and to inaugurate Centers
for Family Counceling in the municipalities of Simulambuco and
Cacongo.
Dr.
Deisi was received by H.E. Mr. Aníbal Rocha, Province Governor,
who presented the province and some social and cultural projects
executed.
16th
May
Dr.
Deisi Kusztra and WFO delegation visit the Angolan Women Organization
office in Luanda. During the visit were presented many programs
and activities executed by the organization.
In
the end of the morning was held a meeting between WFO delegation
and the Vice Minister for Family and Women Promotion, H.E. Mrs.
Ana Paula Neto and her technical team to discuss programs and
themes to compose the Memorandum of Understanding to be signed
in the end of the mission.

The
World Family Organization, on behalf Dr. Deisi Kusztra, President,
and the Ministry of Family and Promotion of Women of Angola, on
behalf H.E. Mrs. Cândida Celeste da Silva, Minister, signed
a Protocol of Understanding to rule the future actions and programs
to be executed in cooperation by WFO and MINFU.
WFO
offered a farewell lunch to the team of the Ministry of Family
and Promotion of Women of Angola to close the official visit to
the country.
