Fourth Meeting of UNESCO’s Collective Consultation of NGOs on Education for All (CCNGO/EFA), Dakar
13-16 June 2007

The Fourth Meeting of the Collective Consultation of NGOs on Education for All (CCNGO/EFA) will be held in Dakar, Senegal, from13 to16 June 2007.

The CCNGO/EFA is a formal mechanism of thematic cooperation provided for in the 1995 Directives concerning UNESCO’s relations with non-governmental organizations and framed by the Context and Working Procedures adopted in January 2003 (Second Meeting of the CCNGO/EFA, Porto Alegre, Brazil), copy of which are attached hereto.

The main purpose of the meeting will be to assess, as a contribution to the mid-term review, the participation of civil society organizations in the EFA process and in education policy dialogue at national and international levels since the 2000 World Education Forum, and to discuss the way forward. Discussions will be informed by a study launched by UNESCO through the CCNGO/EFA Regional Focal Points. Please find attached hereto a provisional programme for the meeting.
