National and Local Agendas and strengthen it on the Framework
of Economic, Social, Cultural, Political and Sustainable

In
a increasingly competitive and result-oriented international
environment, strengthening the visibility, communication and
outreach of the World Family Organization is a must.
A
key part of WFO's mandate is to act as the promoting and coordinating
Organization on International efforts among Governments, Non-Governmental
Organizations, Academia, Parliamentarians, Business Community
and Civil Society, in increasing awareness of Family issues
in a Developmental Context.
The
Family has become not only the basic unit of Society, but also
the core center to achieve Economic, Social and Sustainable
Development for all.
A
"Family-Focused Economic, Political, Socio-Cultural
and Sustainable Development Vision" can make Globalization
an inclusive and equitable process, a reality for everyone,
much quickly and permanent.
A
"Family-Focused Economic, Political, Socio-Cultural
and Sustainable Development Vision" has
to be developed, processed and disseminated Worldwide.
An
intensive work of "advocacy" has to be carried out
to sensibilize the decision-making level, internationally, nationally
and locally, that Family-oriented Public Social Policies have
to be included on all Developmental Agendas.
Recognizing
that Peace, Social, Human and Sustainable Development, Poverty
Eradication, Social Protection and Inclusion starts within the
Family, partnerships and alliances are the first and more appropriated
path to give an international and broad significant to the World
Family Organization mission. Serving as facilitator and coordinator
of movements and actions towards achieving the formulation and
implementation of a family-focused Social Policies at all levels,
the World Family Organization is promoting the concept of a
new social contract between Governments, Business Community
and Families to achieve a better World for present and future
generations.

The
objective of the World Family Organization is to represent Families
of the World at all levels, to defend their interests and to
act with them and for them vis a vis governments and the international
community. With respect to the United Nations and the consultative
process, the Organization acts as the link between both the
aspirations and achievements of the families and the work done
for them at the level of the United Nations.

Throughout
its activities and projects, WFO performs and assumes a range
of functions corresponding to its role as the international
lead Organization for Family Issues:

a
laboratory of ideas: WFO plays a key role in anticipating
and defining, in the light of the ethical principles, the
most important emerging problems in the sphere of Family
Issues, and identifies appropriate strategies and policies
to deal with them.

a
standard-setter: WFO serves as a Central Forum
for articulating the ethical and normative issues on Family
Policies, fostering multi-disciplinary exchange, mutual
understanding and mobilizing international opinion.

a
clearing house: WFO has a crucial role in gathering,
transferring, disseminating and sharing available data information,
knowledge and best practices on Family Issues, identifying
innovative solutions and testing them through pilot projects.

capacity-builder: WFO organizes international cooperation
for servicing its stakeholder, specially its Members, in
building human and institutional capacities in all fields
of competence.

catalyst for international cooperation: WFO as
a technical multi-disciplinary organization assumes a catalystic
role for development cooperation in Family Issues. To that
end it seeks to ensure that the objectives, principles and
priorities promoted are followed by other multi and bilateral
programs and that projects are implemented, in particular
at Regional and National levels, through innovation, effective
interventions and wise practices.
